Uh wrong. My pit was abused for the first seven months of her life and is still the sweetest dog ever. She was left for dead yet In the three years I’ve had her she’s never once been aggressive, if anything she knows what it’s like not to have love and is more loving because of it.
My other dog that’s a mutt and I’ve had since she was five weeks old is more aggressive than my pit. People are so ignorant when it comes to pits and it just makes me so angry.
lifeandmilitarylove, that’s like saying that a dog is a completely blank slate with absolutely no personality of their own. Genetics do matter. It just doesn’t mean that a certain BREED is inclined to be more aggressive. It means that ALL breeds, including pits, have SOME dogs that are more prone to aggression, fear, etc.
twinpop217, thank you! That is exactly what I mean. Hundreds of pitbulls who have come from abusive situations, who should be, according to this logic, aggressive, but are in fact the sweetest animals ever. <3
